Welcome to the Preston Serene Reflection Meditation Group website.
We are a group who meet to practise Zen Buddhism. You are welcome to come and try our form of meditation and practice and see if it seems right for you.
This website offers some information about our meditation practice and what we do at group meetings, who we are connected with, and gives some local contacts should you want further information. You are, of course welcome just to turn up if you wish.
We meet every Tuesday evening at 7.30pm in the Conference Suite at Preston Council for Voluntary Service, which is in the Guild Hall Arcade off Lancaster Road in Preston town centre. The first time you come, one of our group members will sit with you, show you how we meditate and talk about our practice. The style of meditation we practice is called ‘serene reflection meditation’ - we are part of the Soto Zen tradition of Buddhism. There is no charge for our meetings, though all are invited to support our costs through donation.
We look forward to meeting you, and hope that you will benefit from coming to the group. If you find that our practice is not what you are looking for, we hope that your visit to the group may help you to clarify what you are seeking.
